Meet Kacey.
I started my career in Philosophy, earning my doctoral degree in 2012. I spent several years working in academia as an Instructor, Professor, Instructional Designer and Dean. The benefit of having a background in philosophy is that it is highly adaptable to different disciplines. The analytical skills I acquired in the field has enabled me to tackle challenges well beyond the discipline and to leverage them in the corporate sector. In particular, I enjoy blending my analytical, structure-building skills with my creative capacities. It helps me create clever content that is fun and memorable, bridges learning gaps, and/or fills institutional needs.
Throughout my career, I’ve designed, developed and taught courses covering a variety of subjects from ethics and women and gender studies, to basic psychology, creative problem-solving, and business, and I’ve designed and developed courses on even more, including community nutrition, judgment and decision-making and Salesforce administration and more. In 2022, I co-founded Deducers, a professional development and training company that helps producers within motion and post-production learn the skills they need to flourish within the industry. Along the way, I’ve undertaken a host of passion projects, from article and grant writing to blogging to curating and crafting marketing materials for various organizations, my own included. I’m excited to bring my strengths to meet your organization’s needs.
